Jane McIntyre is Professor Emerita of Philosophy, Cleveland State University, and a past president of the Hume Society. Her numerous publications argue for the centrality of Hume’s account of the passions to his overall philosophical position. Notable articles include “Personal Identity and the Passions” (1989) and “Character: A Humean Account” (History of Philosophy Quarterly 1990)..
