Provide your comments regarding the suggested modification here. At minimum you need to indicate whether you think the modification is acceptable, why "yes" or why "no". The key question here is not whether the modification is flawless - no modification ever is. The key question is whether the modification, if accepted, will provide an overall improvement to our communal knowledge.

A scientonomic account of the notion of discipline was long overdue. The question of how the notion of discipline (and, consequently, discipline acceptance and discipline rejection) can be cashed out in terms of more basic epistemic elements, such as theories and questions, has been raised several years ago. Yet, despite numerous discussions on the subject, this is the first published scientonomic paper to provide such an account. The paper suggests a number of definitions that, I believe, do a great job capturing the gist of the notions of discipline, discipline acceptance and rejection, etc. The modification, if accepted, will provide an important starting point for our future discussions concerning the dynamics of disciplines, i.e. the mechanism of discipline acceptance and rejection.

My verdict: accept.
