|Question=What are the historical indicators of theory acceptance? How can observational scientonomists establish that such-and-such a theory was indeed ''accepted'' by a certain epistemic agent at a certain time?

|Description=The question of whether a [[Theory|theory]] is accepted into the [[Scientific Mosaic|scientific mosaic]] of some [[Epistemic Community|community]] at some particular time must be determined by historical evidence. Thus, it is important to establish what sort of historical markers can serve as evidence of [[Theory Acceptance|theory acceptance]]while distinguishing between acceptance by the the overall community or constituent sub-communities.
