|Preamble=TODO:Tools and instruments, from a thermometer or a ruler to the Large Hadron Collider or the Hubble Space Telescope clearly play a central role in the process of scientific change, but that role has not yet been defined within scientonomy. The question of whether or not tools and instruments can be objects of authority delegation has been raised. The relationship between tools and instruments and the concrete requirements of an employed method also need to be clarified.
