|History=In Barseghyan's ontology of epistemic elements, only [[Theory Is a Subtype of Epistemic Element (Barseghyan-2015)|descriptive theories]] and [[Method Is a Subtype of Epistemic Element (Barseghyan-2015)|methods]] were considered part of the process of scientific change. [[Normative Theory|Normative theories]] were excluded from the ontology for their introduction appeared to be resulting in [[The Paradox of Normative Propositions|a destructive paradox]].
