|Description=Non-dogmatic epistemic communities often cease to employ their previously employed methods. This is due to replacement of those methods. However, what happens to the theories that were accepted through the previously employed methods? The First Law states that theories retain their place in the scientific mosaic unless they are replaced other theories. Is this indeed the case when the methods used to assess those theories are no longer employed?
Consider the case of drug testing. During the course of 20th Century, methods for drug testing has experienced change. Before double trial method was employed by the community, the medical community employed other methods such as single blind method. What happened to the theories that were accepted
