Scientific Community refers to the bearer of the mosaic. At the moment, the term lacks a proper definition.

Open Questions

Can we define a scientific community as more than simply “the bearer of a mosaic”? If not, then the definitions of "scientific mosaic" and "scientific community" appear to be circular. Several attempts to properly define “scientific community” are currently being pursued.1
