|Preamble=Despite the practice of both using the concept of [[Definition|definition]] in theoretical scientonomy and having it built into the backbone of the Encyclopedia of Scientonomy(see the categories of [[:Category:Definitional Topic]] and [[:Category:Definition]]), we currently lack a definition for the term. I The purpose of this modification is to suggest a somewhat simplistic "textbook" definition with the hope that it will become our starting point for potentially more refined definitions of the term.
